Jubilee Work Party

Working party yesterday at Dip Farm , habitat creation , litter picking and planting the last tree in the orchard , thank you for the kind donation from the Williams family .

We recently formalised our relationship with East Suffolk Council , with the signing of a Memorandum Of Understanding ( MOU ) , which recognises Friends of Dip Farm as partners with ESC in caring for this area .

The area is beginning to settle into a wild state , the paths were mown by ESC at the end of May and although there has been some rain since then , the grass has stayed generally short due to footfall .

The new benches seem to be well used and the addition of seating around the cafe welcomed .

Our mission as a group has always been to maintain the area and pond as it is. We will cut saplings to prevent encroachment onto open areas and be placing bat and birdboxes creating opportunities for wildlife.

We hope you continue to enjoy this area , all we ask is that if you appreciate what we are doing you become members of Friends of Dip Farm . The annual fee is only £2 , less than your daily coffee at Cafe Rush .
